3 Most Effective Twitter Marketing Tips Anyone Could Use

Twitter has been the top social networking website for many years in spite of its limited functionality. For a blogger or any business, it is important how and why to use Twitter for his business.

Yes, Twitter has the power to bring unlimited traffic to your blog because it has innumerable users and more users are joining it every day. Exposure to such a network free of cost is an excellent opportunity for bloggers.

How to go about it if you are new? Well, there is no dearth of Twitter advice on the Internet and even outside it. If you are new, these three easy ways can help you do pretty well as you get started.

Do some Research

There are many social media enthusiasts who jump-in just to keep up with the times and technology, but don’t know what they are doing or want to do. Don’t be one of them. Do your homework first.

You can use Twitter's help section to learn how to do things but you need a goal, a strategy and a plan of action before you start.

There are many tools available that will help you monitor tweets related to your niche. You can see what other successful bloggers are doing. Don’t only look at their tweets but also the responses to those tweets. See who is retweeting them and why. While doing this, you will also find a list of people whom you would like to engage with.

Schedule Posts 

Scheduling is the best way to reach out to people from all over the world. If you make 3-4 tweets in 5-8 hours gap, you can reach all to different time zones. If you can decide what you will posting like links to your blogs etc, you can schedule for as many days in advance as you want.

If you want to repeat your tweets (in moderation, of course) then scheduling will keep you free. Again there are many tools that let you schedule your posts on Twitter and other social networking websites. Hootsuite is one such tool that helps you monitor as well as schedule tweets through a single dashboard. You can also use this tool (and many others) to check the number of clicks on each link posted.

Analyze, Choose and Engage

Engagement is the key to social media success. It is easy to have contacts, but actually being able to connect with them is the real challenge. Analyze the analytic data you receive. See how many people are clicking on your links from Twitter. Select those people that are really interested and most active, and talk to them.

Be active. Say thanks whenever it is due. Reply and Retweet, answer questions, help them whenever you can and ask for feedback. Give them a chance to communicate with you and let them feel comfortable with it.

Though these are simple things to do, they give you long lasting results. This is just some great advice to begin with. It is a good idea to keep reading, learning and implementing new strategies for successful marketing on Twitter.
