Display Tips and Giveaway Ideas for a Successful Trade Show

A successful trade show presence requires several conditions to be fulfilled. First of all, you have to have an organized and well-arranged stand. After that, you have to make sure that at every single moment you can offer your visitors a substantial amount of giveaways and gimmicks. Finally, a reliable business owner or an employee in charge of that should react promptly to partnership or business-related inquiries at the show itself. In addition to these three preconditions for a successful trade presence, every business should be presented in a neat graphical way, to inform the trade exhibition visitors why they are the best choice for them.

A huge stock of freebies

Depending on your cup of tea, i.e. what you do for a living, you have to bring as many freebies as you can to make certain that there will be enough promotional material for the visitors who approach your stand. While you cannot give every single person who comes your booth a freebie, you have to train your staff members working at the booth that they estimate whether the person they are talking to is really interested in your products or they just want to get a pencil or a key ring. Perhaps it is a smart idea to keep such freebies at the reach of every visitor's hand. And then, some more expensive freebies, such as finely designed notebooks or lighters, should be kept somewhere in the booth. Once you have realized that you have a serious businessperson and a potential client, you can treat him or her to a more valuable giveaway.

Present-giving activities

In addition to such a give-away strategy, organizing a raffle or a contest is a nice business-promoting technique. You can ask people who would like to take part in that contest if they would also like to fulfill some simple forms. Now comes the most important part – one question in the form should be "Do you want to receive our newsletters"? Attracted by the possibility of winning a present at your contest, many of them will accept. The more people agree to get your promotional mails from you, the bigger the possibility that some of them will become your clients or associates.

Virtual and tangible pictures

When it comes to visual presentation of your business at your booth, you can choose from many available options. If your budget allows you, you can rent a screen-like display, on which you can show people the most interesting parts of your business, such as important conferences that you have attended or successes that you have achieved. On the other hand, many businesses make a great impact by using pull up banners or display boards, which can be used in many ways – as business chart boards, notice boards or photo-hanging boards. They are also easily transported and they are not too fragile.

All these features that should serve as a magnet for attracting visitors must function in a parallel way. Only an all-round approach that utilizes several strategies and methods directed towards the same goal will make your trade show presence financially justified.
