It’s hardly imaginable to know one kid who does not log in to any social networking site or browse the web once a day. Most of the youngsters in this generation are so hooked up with the internet, which is why it is not so surprising to see that most advertisements that are done the traditional way are usually ignored by these kids. It is a challenge for every marketing and advertising company to make the youth take a peek of their product.

With internet’s impact to teens and youngsters of today, marketers and advertisers are creating new strategies and thinking of unique ways to catch their attention. Since these kids nowadays are disregarding traditional advertising campaigns, the marketing experts and advertising analysts should come up with creative and unique ways to market and advertise their products.

Because more and more teens and college students are tuning out to the conventional ways of advertising, companies are spending more to get their attention and pique their interests. It’s not a surprise that young people are target audience for advertising and product placement. But advertisers should now be more innovative with their advertising techniques and strategies.

According to studies, product placement may still work today but somehow not in the way marketers imagine. It has been reported that approximately 72% of teenagers and 77% of college enrollees notice product placement.

And top three products these young people noticed mostly are drinks or beverages, mobile phones, and automobiles. However, their attention these products do not last long. In fact, the product placement has little impact on them.

But according to surveys, there is one “product” that most of these youngsters notice and even pursue is the web site. Many of these kids turn their attention to web sites in a movie or even a TV show. And 53% of them, according to survey, go online and check that web site.

Because most of the young people today are logged in to networking sites, it is impossible for them not to notice your products when they are posted and advertised in a certain web site. So, to have your products catch the attention and pique the interest of the teens and youngsters, marketers should create their own web site have it advertised on TV shows.

It is important for marketers and advertisers that their products reach their target audience in a way that these people will not only notice those products but opt to patronize and purchase them. Advertising your products in a web site is one great way to have these youngsters notice them and even pursue them.
