Earn up to 246% ROI with Email Marketing
Email marketing could help you reach up to 246% return on investment, or ROI, for your mid-sized business a new study has revealed. According to its report, just about 1.5% of businesses have fully integrated email marketing as part of their mobile marketing automation strategy. If this is a reflection of the actual reality across the board, then it means that this could be one of the best kept secrets in the marketing industry that businesses could use to reap big.
Expert market analyst at VB Insight, Jon Cifuentes, conducted broad research on about 1,300 marketers and more than 48,000 companies. He found out that mid-sized businesses report up to 246% returns thanks to the power of email marketing, concluding that email is still king of ROI.
But that was not the whole story. Despite the high returns, Cifuentes also found out that email marketing is among the most expensive marketing strategies to manage. According to his analysis, when email is considered the center of all of a business’ customer relationships, then it becomes quite a costly control booth due to the number of things that needs to be accomplished through it.
For instance, infrastructure expenses go up plus infrastructure partners, analytics partners, ESPs, agencies and content services, media expenditures for growing the list of subscribers, and the talent to be used for running the show. In addition, email marketing requires very high levels of human resources and time to manage it appropriately, with 85% of its users being at manager level or higher. By most standards, that is quite expensive.
Although all these expenses make email marketing quite a costly affair to see through to fruition, the potential ROI that one can achieve with it is a clear indication of how crucial it is to get everything right. Clearly, in all this marketing hullaballoo, mid-sized companies are the outright winners because they are the ones that gain most. Small-to-medium companies earn up to 183% ROI while the enterprise-level ones get about 117%.
So, in the meantime, as the rest of the world continues to play catch-up, mid-sized businesses will continue to smile all the way to the bank with email marketing.
